Electrical Systems Integration Engineer (Automotive)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to support the design, integration, validation, and launch of automotive electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with vehicle electrical architecture, module integration, wiring systems, diagnostics, and vehicle launch activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automotive electrical systems and electrical content.
  • Coordinate technical design reviews to ensure system integrity.
  • Support electrical system integration throughout the vehicle development process.
  • Develop system-level electrical validation requirements and perform testing.
  • Support pre-production vehicle build activities.
  • Participate in vehicle evaluations and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle electrical system issues.
  • Support vehicle-level validation testing.
  • Configure, update, and diagnose electrical modules and systems.
  • Provide onsite engineering support during vehicle build events.
  • Lead suppliers and cross-functional resources to support program objectives.
  • Develop system designs that meet vehicle performance requirements.
  • Support supplier sourcing activities.
  • Manage engineering deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Vehicle electrical architecture
    • Electronic control modules (hardware and software)
    • Power distribution
    • Driver assistance systems
    • Vehicle wiring integration
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and device documentation.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters.
  • Experience troubleshooting vehicle electrical circuits.
  • Experience with module software flashing and CAN-based diagnostics.
  • Experience launching new vehicle programs.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Experience using engineering change management and issue tracking tools.
  • Experience with CAN network troubleshooting, data logging, vehicle configuration, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
