JOB TITLE: RF Engineer - 3rd Shift
LOCATION: Chelmsford, MA
PAY RATE: $97.12/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
- Clearance: Secret Clearance required to start
- Shift: Weekend Shift, Full-Time (Thursday – Sunday)
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Summary:
- Support the production of complex multi-function modules used in high-reliability applications across all phases of the product lifecycle
- Work on complex technical problems and develop innovative and effective solutions
- Act independently to identify and resolve issues associated with operational product implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers, as well as technical and manufacturing support personnel
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Requirements:
- Secret Clearance required to start
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or a BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience
- Contractor will train on first shift for 6 weeks before transitioning to the weekend shift.
- First Shift (Training): Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Shift: Thursday–Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Ability to read engineering drawings – 1–2 years
- Ability to work in a production environment – 1–2 years
- Electrical testing – 1–2 years
- Failure analysis – 1–2 years
- Experience troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on hardware experience
- Experience using RF/microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field
- Significant experience in the defense electronics industry
- Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, LNAs, HPAs, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits
- Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques
- Expertise with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience interfacing with customers, including delivering technical presentations
- Prior RF design experience
- Ability to lead failure investigations related to production or technical issues
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, especially with manufacturing and industrial engineering teams
