The Electronic Systems organization is looking for a highly motivated software developer with a strong AI integration background excited by the opportunity to build and scale this system. The opportunities are wide open, leveraging the data our system supports to introduce new workflows and features. A strong candidate will be one able to consider a highly connected data model with many different user groups and find creative solutions to augment and visualize data while maintaining structure.
You will be part of a highly focused group developing AI assisted design tools to maximize speed and efficiency in the heart of the Tesla engineering design process. These tools are key from beginning to end of the design cycle and are being used across Design Engineering, Service Engineering, Program Management and Manufacturing globally.
The Electronic Systems organization is responsible for developing the core nervous system for our products from high level architecture and vehicle controllers to Low Voltage distribution design. The team is well known for the cutting edge 48V distribution and high safety integrity level for systems such as FSD, steer by wire, etc. As the team continuously pushes the limits and reimagines how vehicles are built, designed, and architected, we are also doing the same with our software to provide more robust and efficient engineering tools.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design workflows, transforming real-world challenges into scalable software solutions and AI-powered tools
Architect and build full-stack applications, including intelligent tools for design assistants and automated systems that redefine how teams work
Research and integrate cutting-edge tools for AI agents, continuously improving architecture to drive innovation and efficiency
Maintain and iterate on IaC systems, driving application reliability and team velocity
What You'll Bring
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Proven ability to integrate LLMs or AI Agents into production applications
Fluency in cloud application deployment, specifically familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions
Frontend expertise in React & TypeScript
Experience developing scalable backend systems in Golang
Complex data modelling expertise in SQL databases

Expected Compensation
$140,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
