What You'll Do

Lead projects end-to-end: From concept ideation to fabrication, production ramp-up, and optimization – scaling Semi output to meet global demand

Develop machine concepts for novel automated systems, including feasibility analysis

Detail machine design including creation of machine layouts, detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and mechanical bill of materials

Conduct design reviews for internal team feedback and for cross-functional presentations

Bridge Product Design, Manufacturing and Production departments as a key collaborator

Specify and source commercial components pertaining to your designs

Coordinate with internal and external machine shops to fabricate machined components

Work with technician teams to assemble and dial in equipment

Validate equipment ensuring performance and repeatability criteria are satisfied

Document handovers and systems for seamless transitions and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

3+ years of experience with SolidWorks 3D and 2D CAD software

Strong understanding of material properties and FEA applications

Strong understanding of drafting standards and the application of GD&T

Experience with automation equipment design and custom machine-building

Strong understanding of root cause analysis strategies & tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong understanding of common machining processes and capabilities

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
