The iPhone System EE team is looking for Hardware Engineers who are motivated by the opportunity to provide design, test, validation, failure analysis to our iPhone product, which will benefit millions of iPhone users worldwide. Using your skills in electrical engineering, you can make a difference in so many lives! The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams and play an important role in the development of Apple products, additionally, the candidate will work closely with our Contract Manufacturer’s EE team to achieve our design and validation goals with a high bar of quality.

Description

In this role, you will drive next-generation iPhone hardware development from early concept through mass production. You’ll participate system integration for rigid and flexible boards, develop comprehensive test plans, and guide our contract manufacturing teams through engineering builds to ensure the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of next generation iPhone from concept to MP
  • System integration for rigid board and flexible printed circuit to initialize and refine the design with cross functional teams
  • Support various engineering builds from Prototype, EVT to PVT as technical expert, represent the EE team in a fast-paced and multi-functional team environment
  • Identify EE related issues in the field and drive corresponding resolutions
  • Test development to cover connectivity, functionality, power consumption and reliability
  • Lead and manage our contract manufacturer’s EE team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Direct experience with one or more of the following technologies: high/low speed digital bus design, low voltage power regulation and delivery, industry standard protocols (audio and video, USB, wireless, memory bus, etc.) and their design best-practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong EE fundamentals including analog and high speed digital design
  • Good understanding of DC/DC power supply
  • Fundamentals of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity
  • Layout and signal routing experiences for rigid boards, printed flexible circuits
  • Strong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment and proactive attitude
  • Curious mind and both intuitive and rigorous problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal/written English skillset and presentation skills
  • Programming skillset (Lua, Python or C) to assist hardware test and development
  • AI skill is one plus
