How you will make an impact:

As a Banknote Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that outsourced banknote and substrate manufacturing fully meets Crane Currency’s quality standards and customer requirements. Acting as the primary quality interface between Crane Currency and external partners, you will ensure that quality expectations are clearly defined, transferred, and consistently achieved. You will support both Supply Chain and Sales organizations by driving high levels of customer satisfaction and protecting Crane Currency’s reputation for excellence. This role is instrumental in promoting a CBS-driven culture across partner manufacturing sites and sustaining world-class quality performance.

• Participate in bid, quotation, and contract management processes to ensure customer quality expectations are clearly defined
• Ensure accurate and complete transfer of product and quality requirements to external partners
• Coordinate closely with Crane OPS and cross-functional teams to support outsourced production
• Plan and conduct quality approvals and audits at partner manufacturing sites
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured quality tools such as 8D, 5-Why, DMAIC, PFMEA, MSA, and control plans
• Monitor supplier performance and product conformity to defined standards
• Escalate quality or risk concerns through appropriate leadership channels
• Promote collaborative relationships with internal teams, partner sites, and other Crane Currency locations

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or a similar discipline
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing or quality management
• Strong understanding of quality engineering disciplines, including statistical methods, measurement systems, and quality data analysis
• Experience working in global, cross-cultural, multi-site environments
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems

The salary range for this role is €46,000–€53,000 annually. Pay is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
