Brief Job Description:
An Electrical Engineer that provides specialized technical support for Power products to customers and the Vertiv Services organization. This role is responsible for managing complex cases, performing root cause analysis, supporting new product readiness, and developing customized technical solutions in coordination with factories, suppliers, and regional and global teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced technical support to customers and Vertiv Services teams through specialized consultation using technical libraries, Vertiv factories, and approved suppliers for Power segment products.
- Utilize Vertiv’s dedicated communication channels (email, SharePoint, Life, and 0800) while following defined support protocols and providing detailed technical responses for installed equipment.
- Participate in regional and global technical forums, collaborating in English with other business units and manufacturing centers to conduct root cause investigations.
- Assess Services readiness for new products and projects in the region, ensuring appropriate training, spare parts availability, and other critical elements required to deliver a superior customer experience.
- Develop and deliver customized technical solutions in partnership with the Vertiv Services commercial team, including labor-hour analysis for project execution.
- Support complex, high-analysis cases escalated from the Technical Support Analyst team.
- Attend product and software training courses at Vertiv training centers or manufacturing facilities.
- Perform remote technical analysis based on Vertiv documentation and applicable regional standards.
- Provide recommendations to update TKO and other Vertiv technical libraries based on customer and service team inquiries.
- Prepare and present root cause analysis findings and technical documentation to customers, aligned with Vertiv solutions and support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields.
- Advanced English proficiency (reading and writing) with intermediate conversational skills.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical writing skills and fluency in the local language.
- Knowledge of Quality and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
- Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork mindset, and proactive attitude.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Office work environment and some exposure to customers and lab environment which would require the use of personal protection equipment in accordance with local safety regulations.
