  • Act as site coordination focal point for mechanical equipment activities during construction, installation, and pre‑commissioning
  • Apply solid knowledge of detail engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, datasheets, layouts, MTOs) to support effective technical discussions and decision‑making at site
  • Prepare and provide technical justification for Site Queries (SQs), technical clarifications, and minor deviations using available project data, applicable codes, standards, and specifications, with minor support from Home Office Engineering when required
  • Coordinate and close SQs, technical clarifications, and minor technical issues directly with Contractors, Vendors, and Owner’s representatives when sufficient data is available in the project system; when required data is not available, coordinate with Home Office Engineering to obtain supporting documents and technical input necessary for issue resolution
  • Coordinate independently with multi‑discipline teams (civil, piping, E&I, commissioning) to resolve interface issues and support smooth execution of mechanical activities
  • Interface daily with Contractors, Site Supervisors, Inspectors, Vendors, and Owner’s representatives to ensure aligned understanding of technical and execution requirements
  • Coordinate mechanical equipment installation, alignment, testing, and pre‑commissioning activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Coordinate closely with the Site Material Control / Material Management team to:
    • Confirm availability of mechanical equipment and materials
    • Track delivery status in line with construction priorities
    • Identify shortages, damages, or discrepancies
    • Support timely material release aligned with construction sequence
  • Support vendor coordination, including site activities, document follow‑up, and technical clarification meetings
  • Monitor site execution and identify technical, interface, or material‑related issues, escalating to the Senior Field Engineer when required
  • Support quality activities through inspection coordination, punch list tracking, and NCR follow‑up under the guidance of the Senior Field Engineer
  • Track execution progress and report site technical status, risks, and issues to senior site engineering
  • Enforce HSE requirements and promote safe work practices across all mechanical equipment activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (professional license preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and construction projects (Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical)
  • Proven experience in both detail engineering and site-based construction/installation roles
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and site coordination
  • Familiar with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, etc.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on attitude
  • Able to work effectively under site conditions and schedule pressure
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
