Information about the position

As our new Data Engineer, you will be part of the Experimentation team. We are responsible for developing the experimentation data analysis tools used throughout the entire Vinted company. Unfamiliar with experimentation? No problem! Only a few companies manage to successfully scale experimentation company-wide, and we are aiming to be one of them. With your help, we can make it happen!

In this role, you will develop software and data flows for our experimentation platform. Your work will be crucial to building a fast, scalable, and reliable experiment analysis infrastructure that supports it. You will enable our product engineering teams to execute experiments and rollout new features that will help Vinted innovate at new heights.

In this position, you’ll

• Build a world-class experiment analysis platform loved by everyone at Vinted
• Automate everything - any part of designing, setting up, running, and wrapping up an experiment that should be automated, is automated
• Mainly work with Python applications, Big Query data warehouse, DBT, Airflow scheduler
• Take ownership and write clean, easy-to-understand code, and contribute to the team’s scientific and data software
• Grow and use the opportunity to learn and share new knowledge in the experimentation field
• Collaborate closely with the Data Science group to bring them continuous improvements and take our experimentation capabilities to a new level

About you

• A curious individual who wants to learn and master concepts and technologies we use
• Experience with Python or any other modern programming language
• Experience with analytical SQL
• Knowledge of agile, DevOps & Automation - testing, build, deployment, CI/CD, etc.
• Hands-on work experience in the development of operations at scale
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and results-oriented mindset
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
• Advantage: Experience building data intense applications, data platforms or data warehouses
• Advantage: Solid software engineering skills, particularly relating to data engineering
• Advantage: Background or practical experience in Mathematical statistics or Data science

The salary range for this position is € 3,558 - € 4,808 gross per month.
