We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the Company’s accounting operations in India. This role will play an important part in supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with local statutory and company reporting requirements. The Staff Accountant will work closely with cross-functional teams and the broader global finance organization to help ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled financial processes. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong attention to detail and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendor onboarding, including collecting and reviewing required documentation and setting up vendors in NetSuite
  • Process and verify vendor invoices, including PO matching, approvals, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Perform vendor reconciliations and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy
  • Record and review journal entries, including monthly provisions and accruals for outstanding expenses
  • Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and complete financial records
  • Prepare and file statutory tax returns, including Professional Tax (PT) and TDS
  • Maintain GST compliance by reviewing sales and purchase registers, reconciling input tax credit, and filing monthly and annual GST returns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting, expense, and vendor-related queries
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and additional responsibilities to support the broader finance organization

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus
  • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience with a strong understanding of Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PT) and general accounting principles; exposure to U.S. GAAP or multinational environments is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Experience with the Netsuite ERP system is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
