Job Title: Senior Production Manager

Job Description

We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Production Manager to join our Plant Leadership Team at our plant. This is your opportunity to lead operations at our largest U.S. plant—a premier manufacturing center. Reporting directly to the Site Senior Director of Manufacturing, you will champion our critical high-speed operations, driving supply chain success from end-to-end. This leadership position requires you to be the strategic champion who inspires, develops, and leads the manufacturing team to achieve success.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor to cultivate a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Instill a positive, proactive safety culture to minimize accidents and lost-time injuries, ensuring all training standards are developed and maintained.
• Maintain full accountability for the financial performance of all managed manufacturing areas, ensuring compliance with budgets.
• Optimize production flow, manage staffing for the 24/7 schedule, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure on-time production and shipment of conforming products.
• Develop and execute plans that support the Home & Garden business's 3-year strategic growth objectives.
• Lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing principles across multiple production units.
• Serve as a critical member of the Plant Leadership Team, leading the development and sharing of best practices.
• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure cohesive execution toward unified KPIs.

Essential Skills

• 7 or more years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a CPG company.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, as well as capital projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Proven results in manufacturing and supply chain leadership.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with contract manufacturing and packaging is strongly preferred.
• Ability to comprehend financial reports including budgetary guidelines, manufacturing labor and material standards, and project expenditures.
• Strong leadership experience with demonstrated ability to develop manufacturing methods to meet product cost targets.

Work Environment

This role oversees a highly dynamic, seasonal business that is a 24/7 continuous operation during peak periods. The work environment includes both plant floor engagement across six different buildings and office/cubicle time for analytics. The position is hands-on, requiring presence on the production lines to drive efficiencies and improvements directly. The work environment is supportive, with investments being made to increase automation and opportunities for career advancement.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140930.00 - $176162.00/yr.
