Position Summary

This Chandigarh-based position provides support in implementing digital solutions for Inspection and Integrity Management across global client assets. The role involves supporting digital asset integrity management assignments/projects that involves integrity data management, software testing, and configuration of Oceaneering’s Integrity Management (IM) application/software suite. The apprentice will ensure all activities comply with Oceaneering and client documentation standards, as well as relevant onshore and offshore regulatory requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist Integrity and Inspection Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in developing and refining software features.
  • Help create user stories and requests for software developers to implement new functionalities IM application.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for new software releases.
  • Support production testing of IM application modules to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to configuring client-specific instances of IM application under guidance.
  • Learn and assist in implementing Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) logic, including basic Python coding tasks.
  • Support integration of Integrity and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) data into digital platforms.
  • Assist in deploying and maintaining digital inspection tools (e.g., tablets) for field use.
  • Collaborate with software and IT teams to improve workflows for data capture, storage, and reporting.
  • Help analyze inspection data to identify trends and support predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Contribute to reporting and dashboard development using tools like Power BI.
  • Perform other tasks as reasonably expected within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline in a relevant subject (e.g., Mechanical or allied, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering)

Not Essential

  • Knowledge of NDT techniques
  • Overview of Oil & Gas industry
