We are now looking for a
Summer Trainee, Control Codes and System
to work with Control System and Devices Tribes team in studying and evaluating sensor technologies to be used in Elevator systems. You will be part of Control codes and Systems team in Hyvinkää, Finland. Depending on the phase of the work, it is possible also to work part of the time remotely.
We are looking for a Bachelor’s or Master’s level student in electrical or electronics engineering to join us for a traineeship of up to four months during May–September 2026, depending on your availability and preference.
If the match is right, it is also possible to complete your thesis at KONE.
During the traineeship, you will explore sensor technologies both theoretically and through hands-on experimentation. Guided by problem statements, you will test different sensor solutions and build proof‑of‑concepts to evaluate their potential for future productization. You will work in pairs with another summer trainee and collaborate closely with industry experts, offering you a unique opportunity to influence the future technologies used in elevators. Any experience from hobby projects involving sensors is considered an advantage.
