The Senior Mechanical Engineer – Motor Engineering is responsible for the design and development of assigned motor products, supporting them through the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing. This role provides technical expertise and cross-functional engineering support to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements.

What you will be doing:
- Design and develop new motor components, sub-assemblies, and systems, while leading continuous improvement initiatives for existing products.
- Provide engineering support across the product lifecycle, including design validation through testing, product risk analysis, and defining critical-to-quality features and dimensions.
- Support supplier and component qualification efforts, including evaluation of new or alternate vendors, components, and tooling.
- Analyze and resolve product performance issues, including evaluation of customer returns and support of technical documentation and marketing collateral.
- Collaborate within cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, serving as a technical resource and mentor to less-experienced engineers.

What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related degree (required).
- Five to ten years of related experience.
- Master’s degree (preferred) in a relevant field could substitute for years of experience.
- Experience in 3D modeling skills (Pro/E - Creo) is a plus.
- Advanced: CAD software, complex analysis, project management, spreadsheet.
- Basic: Microsoft Office, Word processing/typing, presentation/PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% annually.
