Role Purpose

As the DataOps Lead within Data Solutions – Capital Markets Data Factory (CMDF), you will lead the delivery of scalable, resilient data operations and governance frameworks. Your mission is to design and implement solutions that maintain and enhance data quality, maximize automation, and foster multi-functional collaboration.

You will focus on data lineage, data quality controls, and metadata management, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and operational resilience across critical datasets—particularly within Equities (EQ) and Foreign Exchange (FX) exchange venues. Additionally, you will partner with stakeholders across Capital Markets to improve documentation (e.g. data dictionary), operational processes, reduce risk, strengthen the data foundation, and unlock new value from data assets (e.g. integration with Model Context Protocol (MCP) agent configuration and semantic model creation).

This role involves mentoring and managing Data Analysts, promoting engineering excellence, and collaborating with Data Architects and technical leads to evolve architecture, standards, and processes. Your impact will be seen in delivering consistent, high-quality data solutions that accelerate delivery timelines, strengthen governance, and support strategic business and regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Lifecycle Management: Participate and oversee end-to-end data operations—collection, cleaning, validation, and delivery—ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Governance & Quality: Implement robust data lineage, quality controls, and metadata management frameworks.
  • Incident Management: Manage and is part of 2L support for data problems, perform root cause analysis, tracking the implemention of long-term fixes. Track team progress by and KPI using key metrics (e.g. resolution times, recurring issues, satisfaction scores) to identify trends, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and optimize support processes.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Drive automation across data operation workflows, optimize processes, and enforce best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead DataOps team members, fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects, engineers, and business teams to align technical solutions with strategic goals.
  • Agile Delivery: Oversee backlog management, and Jira governance for timely execution.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain data catalogues, dictionaries, and lineage; facilitate user training for self-service data access.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Advanced SQL and solid understanding of Data Warehouse principles.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python for analytics, automation, and statistical analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS (Snowflake preferred).
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS Cloud.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience implementing data quality controls and governance frameworks.
  • Skilled in manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multi-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Capital Markets, particularly Equities and FX datasets.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR).
  • Familiarity with data cataloguing tools and metadata management.
