Essential Job Duties
The main function of the Biotechnology (BIT) laboratory technician is to assist our staff in preparing for weekly laboratory sessions. Our courses are described at https://biotech.ncsu.edu/courses/ and strive to expose students to a variety of cutting-edge molecular biology tools including techniques for studying DNA, bacteria, proteins, viruses, and cell culture. This position offers a chance to transfer your student laboratory experiences into a fast paced, 40 hr/week molecular biology laboratory role, learning from talented people that have an impressive range of interests.
