Position Summary
Project Engineer II (Senior) will lead cross-functional engineering projects with a product and system integration focus, serving as the primary technical lead for new and core products/processes. The role scopes and delivers technical objectives, reviews designs and customer requirements, devises and oversees test and product acceptance plans, and ensures on-time, cost-effective outcomes
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering project team(s) or serve as the primary technical lead on engineering project(s) focused on new or core products and/or processes.
- Determine project specifications by studying product designs, customer program requirements, and applicable standards; complete required technical studies to validate feasibility and performance.
- Technical engineering: Perform and review calculations, specifications, and drawings; contribute to design reviews and value engineering. Own submittals, change requests, and technical documentation; ensure configuration control.
- Support prototyping, testing, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover.
- Plan and ensure timely, efficient completion of detailed engineering activities to achieve cost, quality, delivery and customer service objectives.
- Develop critical technical data and inputs necessary for customer proposals (e.g., performance estimates, materials, costs, risk, validation approach).
- Evaluate feasibility of customer change requests; recommend technical solutions, trade-offs, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, and test) to drive design-for-manufacture, design-for-quality, and risk mitigation.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, drawings, test plans, risk registers, and design verification records.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and transition to production; troubleshoot issues and drive corrective actions.
- Track project metrics and report status, risks, and mitigation actions to the Engineering Manager/ Business Unit Manager and stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement and leadership, identify process improvements and drive standard work and lessons learned. Mentor junior engineers; support onboarding and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development, manufacturing engineering or a related discipline.
English level: Advanced English.
Technical Skills
- Advance Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Proficiency with CAD and engineering analysis tools (Minitab, Core tools, Etc.)
- Strong Skills with engineering drawings, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Project Skills: Advanced project management skills (planning, scheduling, risk management); ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to perform root cause analysis and propose solutions.
- Ability to travel to job sites, supplier facilities, and customer locations as required.
- Desirable PMP or CAPM certification; Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement credentials.
- Desirable Experience with BIM, PLM, ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, and turnover documentation
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations relevant to the industry (e.g., NEC, ASME, API, AISC, ISO, cGMP, LEED).
- Data analysis/scripting for engineering applications (e.g., Excel VBA, Python, MATLAB) is a plus.
