POSITION SUMMARY
Sandbox Films is looking for a motivated intern for the summer of 2026. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual interested in developing a career in film distribution and impact. This individual will gain insight into aspects of independent documentary film distribution, impact producing and grassroots film campaigns, with a specific focus on supporting the groundwork for a global film screening network.
Genuine interest in distribution, audience engagement, sales, festivals and impact / educational screenings is essential. The focus of this internship is not on development, creative, practical or technical film production. Applicants demonstrating a genuine interest in a career in distribution and audience engagement will be prioritized.
This paid internship has a 32 hour-per-week minimum requirement. It will take place on site at the Sandbox Films office in New York City from June 1 until August 14, 2026.
