Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international tax laws.
• Ensure the follow-up of internal tax and legal compliance.
• Manage and coordinate tax audits and legal inspections to be carried out by state services.
• Monitor legislative and tax developments in order to provide relevant advice to management.
• Collaborate with all departments to identify and integrate legal and regulatory requirements specific to each activity.
• Maintain effective communication with tax and administrative authorities.
• Compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards.

Qualification Requirements:

• University degree in Law, Taxation, Accounting or equivalent;
• Tax certifications or legal compliance will be an asset.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of professional experience in taxation and legal compliance, preferably in the mining or industrial sector;
• Mastery of tax laws and mining regulations in the DRC;
• Knowledge of international compliance standards and reporting practices.

The Kibali gold mine is located in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), approximately 220 kilometres east of the capital of the Haut Uele province, Isiro, 150 kilometres west of the Ugandan border town of Arua and 1,800 kilometres from the Kenyan port of Mombasa. The mine is owned by Kibali Goldmines SA (Kibali) which is a joint venture company effectively owned 45% by each of Barrick and AngloGold Ashanti, and 10% by Société Miniére de Kilo-Moto (SOKIMO). The mine is operated by Barrick.
