This is your chance to play a key role in establishing our new accounting hub and ensuring its smooth, efficient operation to support our business across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of a regional accounting hub—from start-up to full-scale operations—delivering exceptional service and setting new standards of excellence.
  • Shape the strategic direction of the hub and influence the future of Finance at DHL Supply Chain across the Americas.
  • Own the integrity of financial data at both regional and country levels, ensuring accuracy and reliability for critical business decisions.
  • Establish robust controls and authorizations for major accounting transactions in partnership with Country and Regional CFOs.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, statutory reports, and tax filings, ensuring compliance and precision every time.
  • Be the key liaison for audits, coordinating internal and external reviews and managing auditor relationships.
  • Drive flawless execution of core processes like month-end close and reconciliations, maintaining top-tier standards and controls.
  • Champion compliance and service excellence, embedding a culture of accountability and high performance across the team.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, inspiring your team to innovate and deliver best-in-class results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA) or similar discipline. (Preferred)
  • Professional accounting certification strongly preferred:
    • CPA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Additional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are considered an asset

Key Requirements

  • Proven expertise in Accounting and Finance with 15+ years of experience; exposure to Shared Service Center operations is a strong advantage.
  • 10+ years of people leadership experience, fostering collaborative, high‑performing teams.
  • Track record of building and leading business services organizations and delivering operational excellence at scale.
  • Experience in large-scale transitions and transformational change projects with measurable success.
  • Deep understanding of accounting, risk management, and financial controls in complex, multinational environments.
  • Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
