CNC Programmer

Location: Skaneateles, NY

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Experience Required: 3+ years CNC programming

Summary

The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, and adjusting CNC machinery to produce precise, high-quality components. This role requires strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading, and proficiency with CAD tools to support accurate and efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to meet production and engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Use SolidWorks CAD to review drawings and support program creation.
• Apply machining calculations to determine speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
• Enter, edit, and retrieve commands within computerized machine control systems.
• Follow company safety rules and maintain proper operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of CNC programming experience.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD.
• Strong ability to interpret technical documents and machining specifications.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry to machining calculations.
