Job Overview

As a Field Service Engineer – Controls, you are responsible for delivering on-site services to both new and existing customers. Your work will involve the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems. You will interpret test data, resolve system issues, and ensure technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will also contribute to control system improvements and upgrades while working closely with engineering and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site service, commissioning, and technical support for Carrier HVAC control systems
  • Conduct system diagnostics, analyze technical issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain strong daily communication with customers to ensure service excellence
  • Recommend system upgrades and enhancements based on performance reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support system improvements and product feedback

Requirements

Must have:

  • Completed technical degree (MBO/HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and control technology (preferably water-cooled chillers and chiller plant system managers for it).
  • Experience and knowledge of BAS is a must.
  • Knowledge of Carrier systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel globally and stay onboard for extended periods (~80% of the work’s abroad).
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong English skills (written and verbal)

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Carrier systems, platforms, or improvement programs
  • Experience in industrial or commercial environments with complex control systems
