We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer / Electro-Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in NX and SolidWorks.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in mechanical design, cable routing, and working within Teamcenter PLM systems. Knowledge of Change Request / Engineering Change Notice (CR/ECN) processes, BoM management, and product documentation is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies using NX and SolidWorks.
Manage end-to-end design lifecycle including modelling, drafting, detailing, and revision control.
Perform cable/harness routing and integration in 3D environments.
Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product development.
Manage product structure and BoMs in Teamcenter.
Support and participate in CR/ECN processes.
Conduct tolerance analysis, GD&T, and design validation reviews.
Participate in FMEA and other risk assessment/mitigation activities.
Document procedures and design reports as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong experience with Siemens NX and SolidWorks CAD tools.
Proficient in Teamcenter PLM system.
Solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and manufacturing feasibility.
Experience with cable routing, electro-mechanical packaging, and assembly design.
Good knowledge of BoM creation and maintenance.
Exposure to FMEA, DFMEA, and risk analysis techniques.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Familiarity with CR/ECN processes and engineering documentation standards.
Knowledge of procedure writing and technical documentation best practices.
Awareness of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
Prior experience in a regulated or high-precision industry is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
