Job Description:

Supplier Quality Engineer is in charge of the supplier quality qualification and improvement, to guarantee incoming parts to be compliant with internal and customer requirements, following closely the application of countermeasures by our suppliers and making sure the NCs are closed. In cooperation with Supply Chain and Internal Quality he’s also responsible to meet targets and discuss them, promoting long term improvement actions.

SQE is involved in:

  • Supplier quality improvement activities: analysis of data and NCs to define criticalities and improvement actions,
  • SCAR management and follow up until their closure, including verification of effectiveness of them
  • Monitoring of supplier quality metrics as well as managing ZDP projects
  • Qualification/requalification activities, with a special attention to new programs and critical parts

Working closely with the Purchase Office, Quality Incoming and Quality Expediting team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years in the same role
  • Previous knowledge of the ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality management systems, knowledge of ISO 9100 or other more advanced management schemes is preferable.
  • Very good knowledge of Control Plans, Key Characteristics Control, SPC, MSA Studies and FMEA
  • Excellent knowledge of 8D/SCAR Management with quality techniques for analysis of root causes (5W, Ishikawa, FTA etc.)
  • Knowledge of quality planning/management tools/systems (APQP) is preferable
  • Fluent knowledge of the English language

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Good knowledge of the Office package
  • Good knowledge of SAP management software
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to keep track of tasks even for long periods and intermittent
  • Problem solving, team working, proactivity, planning, autonomy and communication skills
