Manufacturing Engineer

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

  • Understand, support and implement continuous improvement skills into daily work habits and consistently looks for areas of continuous improvement.
  • Works with Maintenance and Die tooling in a Team driven environment to meet the goals of the plant and the company.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, Rates and Flow based on the lean concept.
  • Design, develop and test various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Prepare quotations including layout concepts, processing and costs.
  • Initiate new tooling purchase requests, budget summaries and supplier quotes for submission and approval.
  • Follow equipment progress at supplier’s facility as needed for new equipment.
  • Participate and drive cross-functional equipment design reviews.
  • Maintain new project program books including Gantt charts, build schedules and cost tracking.
  • Support new model launches and improvement teams.
  • Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layout of plant and machines.
  • Ensure list of perishables are provided to Maintenance, Tool Room and Purchasing on new equipment.

This full-time salary role is a part of our Engineering team and will report to the Engineering Manager

Required experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; And/or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, processes, and methodologies.
  • Preferred experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
  • Effective email and electronic communication skills are required.
