Molex is seeking a Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer to design, model, analyze, and characterize silicon photonics and high-speed optical transceiver module, cutting edge technology in the data center and storage industry.

The RF and Signal Integrity Engineer will provide design support for existing, new, and advanced silicon photonics high-speed interconnect technology solutions. This person may also interface directly with IC suppliers on signal integrity issues to gather requirements for IC design specifications to meet the demands of the optical module design.

The widespread growth of high speed and broadband systems introduces unique signal integrity issues. Our team is providing RF solutions with good signal integrity which is critical for high-speed transmission inter & intra data center.

What You Will Do

  • Codesign with IC partners to determine the electrical IC and photonics IC design strategy.
  • Silicon photonic RF design.
  • Test vehicle IC substrate and prototype module PCB SI/PI design, optimization, validation and failure analysis.
  • Provide SI and PI design guidelines to relevant engineers, such as PCB stack-up, via structure, Co-packaged interconnects.
  • Design, develop, implement, and deploy automation tools for SI/PI simulation for best accuracy and productivity.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree or above, major in Electrical and electronics engineering or relative department.
  • Good background in Electromagnetics/RF including a solid understanding of S-parameters
  • Good Team work.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity tools such as HFSS, SIWAVE, CST, Agilent ADS, Sigrity.
  • Experience correlating simulation results with lab measurements using oscilloscopes, TDRs and VNAs, and spectrum analyzers to corelate with SI/PI simulation.
  • Familiar with Python script development.
  • Good communication skill in English.
