Soni’s Client, a growing mid-sized CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Assurance Senior to lead audits, reviews, and compilation engagements across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities of the Accounting & Assurance Senior:
- Lead and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion.
- Supervise and mentor associates, providing guidance and reviewing work.
- Perform risk assessments and develop audit programs tailored to client needs.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Research complex accounting issues and provide well-supported conclusions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, and firm policies.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
- Collaborate with resource managers to ensure engagement scheduling stays on track.
- Prepare budgets for assurance engagements.
Qualifications & Requirements of the Accounting & Assurance Senior:
- CPA license or working toward CPA with sections passed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and GAGAS.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, nonprofit (including Yellow Book), charter schools, construction, professional services, tax provisions, or data analytics.
Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000 annually
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
