DETAILS:

Location: Calabasas, CA

Pay: $80,000 - $90,000/ per year

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the Company’s financial operations and reporting by assisting with general ledger maintenance, accounting cycle closing, bank reconciliations, and financial statement generation. This position ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, code, and record accounting transactions; coordinate with accounting team to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain banking administration activities, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, wire transfers, and treasury support.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Interface with audit team to assist with year-end audits.
  • Generates financial statements, cash forecast reports, and financial analysis and report for quarterly investor reports.
  • Ensure all disbursement and banking documentation is properly maintained and organized for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to support cross-functional initiatives and resolve issues.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience; prior corporate or financial services experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, banking administration, and disbursement processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
