The Role

This position will be responsible for ensuring that all ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS) are installed and commissioned according to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. To Establish a clear understanding of project goals and expectations between an Owner and a service provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • To aid the Owner’s General Contractor and the installing trades in the execution of the Owners Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Requirements
  • To monitor work in the field to ensure that it is complete and accurate prior to energization and the start of the formal Commissioning process.
  • To provide management and inspection services that ensure conformity to construction drawings, specifications and contractor’s Quality Control Plan (QCP) including the following:
    • Surveillance inspection activities as detailed in the Inspection and Test Plans developed for the project.
    • Surveillance inspection during daily walkabouts by the construction personnel
  • Be active on site to enforce the Owners Quality Requirements and support Project leadership as the single point of contact to the Contractors and Vendors at each site for Quality Program questions or concerns through:
  • Quality planning – identifying which quality standards and methods are relevant and are required to deliver the Owners requirements.
  • Quality Assurance – evaluating overall project performance on a regular basis to provide confidence that the project will satisfy the quality standards identified in Quality planning
  • Quality Control – monitoring specific project results to determine if they comply with the agreed Quality standards
  • Lead the site Quality Induction and observe/audit delivery to ensure it is aligned
  • with DCQ Quality values, mission & culture.
  • Be knowledgeable with Owner Project Requirements i.e. Div 01 Specs, Basis of Design, As-built and Closeout documentation, Drawings, RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings.
  • Review and comment on General Contractor and OFE supplier QC Plans, Method
  • Statements, ITP, ITR and other quality documents related.
  • Participate at inspections which include, First of a Kind (FOAK) Mock-ups, Set In Place inspections, Pre-Energization Inspection, and Final Clean Inspections.
  • Monitor issues that can potentially affect FR, provide assistance if “Priorities” and “Issue Types” are not properly assigned.
  • Support the creation, development and maintaining of a sustained Quality Culture that focuses on Right the First Time and reduction of rework and waste.
  • Review NCR data documentation in NCR Log or in ACC Build
  • Audit and monitor GC teams’ delivery of site quality induction and Quality Culture Workshops.
  • Identify quality incidents that would be appropriate for a Significant Quality Event [SQE] and complete the SQE documentation per the SQE process.
  • Complete site audits of GC and sub-contractors.
  • Act as the Owner’s official “acceptance” of installation before progressing to the next
  • Level of construction or commissioning.
  • Attend the GC Quality Kickoff Meeting and weekly GC Quality Meeting
  • Set up a Quality kick-off meeting with the Owner, A/E and GC to present the Benchmark process and shall identify samples, mockups and benchmarks that are to be completed as part of factory and/or Integrator quality management deliverables.
  • Witness on executed samples, mockups and benchmarks, confirm compliance with
  • torque marking/verification procedure with all the integrators and all supporting Vendors.
  • Perform daily site inspections and develop a weekly field QC inspections and testing
  • Summary for review.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards
  • Conduct inspections of ELV installations during various construction phases.
  • Review design documents and provide feedback on constructability and maintainability
  • Develop and maintain QA/QC plans, inspection checklists, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and vendors to ensure comprehensive quality coverage.
  • Participate in QC meetings and report on quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Identify and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Compile quality control turnover packages and conduct final walkthroughs before handover.
  • Ensure conformity to specifications and safety regulations
  • Advise managers and Owner on improvements and strategies for ELV systems

Ideally you will have:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical, Telecommunication Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in construction quality inspection, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of ELV systems, construction processes, and QA/QC methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project documentation, reporting, and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders including site managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and quality control tools.
  • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite
