Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
We are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Specialist, as the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for preparing timely, accurate and compliant financial accounting information to support the Steelmaking Coal business unit.
With a strong focus on delivering a month end result, the role is integral in providing financial accounting services to the mine site operation. The role’s responsibilities include:
