Technical Engineering Manager

What does a successful Technical Engineering Manager do at Fiserv?

As a Technical Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for the Technician team across all three shifts. You will be looked to for thinking outside the box to rectify existing equipment misgivings. Ensure your technician team can perform difficult, complex, and sometimes complicated technical maintenance duties to overhaul production machines, industrial machinery, timing devices, and electrical/electronic equipment. Follow up to assure satisfactory completion on any work ticket that was escalated in production.

What you will do:

• Must ensure cost savings initiatives are occurring to reduce the amount of liability regarding parts costs
• Monitor technician floor activity and work with technical staff to improve their skills, help them get equipment up quickly, train the technicians in all areas
• Attend meetings with operation, venders or management that deal with special projects, issues or operational changes that may need to be done
• Ensure all safety protocols are always followed by everyone.
• Create reports, track Information and other documents as needed by management or operations.
• Travel between facilities as needed for coverage and support

What you will need to have:

• A high school diploma or GED required
• 7+ years of progressive maintenance management experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience implementing and managing the maintenance program using principles of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
• Understanding of Lean principles in a Continuous Improvement environment

What would be great to have:

• Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Mechatronics or equivalent Military training and background
• 15+ years of production maintenance supervisory with electronic repair experience
