Finance Operations Specialist x3

Swindon, Newport, or Stockton-on-Tees – hybrid working options

Band C: £26,406

As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will be working as part of a team providing transactional support on a range of processing tasks this could include Fixed Assets, Cash management and General Ledger. This is an ideal role for anyone with proven finance experience, returners to work, or those looking for a career change.

Key Responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to established policies and regulations.
  • Perform reconciliations, maintain precise financial records, and manage relevant data as appropriate.
  • Investigate and resolve Tier 2 queries related to finance, escalating complex issues as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Utilise relevant financial systems and tools to manage data and generate reports.

To do this role well you will:

  • Be educated to GCSE level, including Mathematics and English or equivalent
  • Strong Excel, ideally to macro level
  • Proven experience of working with numerical data, performing calculations, and analysing financial information accurately.
  • Any previous experience of Oracle, Workday or similar ERP system will be highly advantageous
  • Experience of working in a busy administration service environment, preferably in a shared services or similar environment
  • First class communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record of operating to tight timescales and SLA’s
  • Meticulous approach to tasks, ensuring high levels of accuracy in data entry and processing
