Hartford HealthCare’s Pharmacy System has grown to include 8 inpatient pharmacies, 6 cancer center infusion pharmacies, 3 retail pharmacies, and our Ambulatory Care pharmacy department supporting more than 50 medical office practices. Collaboration between our numerous pharmacy services and other members of the health care team is key to our commitment to continually improving how we provide patient care. The Infusion Outpatient Pharmacist will work within the HHCI free standing oncology infusion center; overseeing the daily operations of the Compounded Sterile Products (CSP) area; assists in meeting regulatory compliance; and monitors training and competency assessment and quality assurance/control.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate in Pharmacy ( Pharm.D.) strongly preferred

Experience

Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Knowledge of Pharmacy quality, safety and environmental control requirements.
  • Effective communication skills [verbal, written and listening]
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills with attention to details
  • Good counseling skills with
  • Ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and colleagues
