We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work under Programme Management Business Group, providing project management and construction supervision services. Senior Electrical Engineer will assist the Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project. He/ She will undertake review and approval of all submittals by the contractors (including design review, prequalification, material, shop drawing, method statement) and involves in the quality control and quality assurance. He/ She also will undertake routine inspection monitoring tasks to confirm if proper construction supervision is being performed by discipline Inspectors. Inspects various facets of work on the construction site and performs continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Document non-conformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PM and/or RE in performing the contractual duties on site.
• Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the Electrical and ELV services that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.
• Perform design review and submittals review.
• Coordinate with relevant Authorities for processing and approval of Building Completion Certificate.
• Follow-up with the contractor and support in coordinating with the utility authority regarding connections whenever required.
• Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
• Oversee junior engineers and inspectors for all electrical and elv works and ensure that installation activities comply with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What you will bring to the team

• Electrical Engineering Degree holder with MME Grade A registration as minimum
• 12+ years’ experience in the design review and construction supervision of electrical and ELV installations and the ability to lead and manage electrical and/or multi-disciplinary teams undertaking residential, commercial, industrial, education, health, transport, infrastructure, power and controls projects.
• An advanced understanding of Electrical codes and standards.
• Understanding of local authority, utility, Kahra-maa and QCDD requirements.
• Flexibility to work on multi-projects environment.
• An understanding of renewable energy resources.
• Proficiency with industry standard software (MS Office, Autocad, PowerCAD, AGI32/Dialux, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat).
• Ability/desire to carry out coordinated design review in the Revit/ BIM environment.
