Purpose: The IMM Tech IV provides technical expertise support for Injection Molding. Under the direction of engineers or managers, the responsibilities of the technicians are: design, research, procure, fabricate, assemble, modify, debug, test, evaluate, accept and document mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotics, electric and electronic equipment and efficiency improvements. Maintain currency and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MP's, change request policy, ISO 9001, equipment specifications and process specifications. Create, review, and update electro/mechanical drawings, operating manuals and procedures, maintenance, calibration procedures and training manuals. Investigate alternative methods and procedures and assist in the design of experiments under operational and developmental conditions. Vigilant for shop safety, environmental safety, ergonomics and hazardous energy control. Provide technical training and certification for Process Technicians and troubleshooting of the production machinery and process.
