The Turbine Module Field Integration Systems Engineer for Evendale Defense Combat Propulsion (EDCP) leads the front-line technical support and problem solving for turbine module field issues on the F110 and J85 families of engines. EDCP is a vibrant and growing organization supporting fielded engines for the US Air Force, US Navy, Foreign Militaries, and NPI offerings for Turkish Aerospace and Edison Works. This position communicates directly with the customer, managing safety issues, leading field failure root cause investigations, and providing quick-response technical guidance for customer questions from the field.
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users’ needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation. There is an expected high level of autonomy and operational judgement required to achieve outcomes required.
