Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager to join our Business Control division at K.K. CEVA Japan. This crucial role is based in our Tokyo office at the Marunouchi Trust Main Tower, where you will lead the accounting functions within the Product Business Control department, supporting our dynamic Logistics - Finance strategic business unit.

About the Role

As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and local regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial reporting, control, and analysis that supports strategic decision-making across the business. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with Japanese GAAP, IFRS where applicable, and local tax regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards changes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during financial audits and reviews, facilitating a smooth and effective process.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and policies to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency within the accounting function.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports for senior management to enable informed business decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in partnership with the wider Finance and Business Control teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes through automation and adoption of best practices.
• Collaborate with business units across logistics and product management to align financial objectives and reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Extensive experience in accounting roles, ideally within logistics or supply chain environments, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese accounting standards and familiarity with IFRS.
• Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate with external auditors, and drive financial reporting excellence.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese to work effectively in a multinational environment.
• Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems, with an aptitude for embracing new technologies to improve processes.
