Position Title: Tax Accountant
Location: Bethesda, MD (on-site, 5 days per week; flexibility for occasional life events)
Assignment Type: Permanent Hire
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 annual salary
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual federal, state, and local income tax returns and quarterly tax calculations for both corporate entities and high-net-worth individuals.
- Assist with tax compliance for multiple entities across various states and jurisdictions.
- Prepare and maintain accounting records, bank and investment reconciliations, and supporting documentation for family entities.
- Support tax audits, respond to notices, and perform research on tax issues as needed.
- Prepare personal financial statements, cash flow statements, and ad hoc reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tax processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2–4 years of experience in income tax preparation (corporate or individual).
- Experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or family office strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas required).
- Ability to manage multiple complex tax filings with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
