Overview
What you will do:
As a Junior QA, you’ll be the key point of contact for all QA task assigned to you for a variety of projects. You will learn, grow in familiarity with quality assurance and develop skills in carefully verifying expected application outcomes & finding bugs.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day, your role includes:
- Key point of contact for all QA allocated task within the assigned project team.
- Reviewing assigned requirements, specifications, technical design documents and QA reports to understanding test requirements
- Understand the solution requirements with the guidance from seniors, developers & project team members, should be hands on testing, writing Test Scripts and test scenarios.
- Identify, logging, record, document thoroughly and track bugs. Verifying bug fixes and updating QA documentation.
- Work with engineering team to conceptualize build, test (functional, regression, integration) and identify risk and develop risk mitigation plans
- Work closely with project team. Refer to Sr QA for additional guidance and support.
- Perform smoke test, sanity test and thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and keep the team informed.
- Develop, apply and execute testing processes for new and existing applications & projects
- To ensure that all quality information, risks, and challenges are communicated proactively & timely via project reporting.
- Show initiatives to learn basic coding required for SQL and Automation testing. Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Periodically identify, recommend, and implement improvements to the quality management processes
- Working comfortably & flexibly within a dynamic, challenging environment to meet client delivery deadlines
Qualifications
We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:
- Fresh entry level candidates are welcomed.
- 1-3 years in the software quality testing with hands on quality testing and quality engineering experience
- Experience in executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies
- Experienced in entire software development life cycle and have interest in test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)
- Good in comprehension, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Deep familiarity with the digital environment
- Good team skills – a positive & supportive team player.
