Valley View's Heart and Vascular clinic in Grand Junction is seeking a Patient Service Specialist & Medical Records Specialist!

This is an on-site position, Monday through Friday.

The right candidate needs a strong understanding of medical terminology, proficiency in multiple electronic health records (EHR) systems (Ex Athena, Meditech, Octagoes, PICOM, EPIC), and excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be an effective communicator as professional communication will need to occur between our referring facilities and the candidate.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

  1. Provides patients and physicians with professional and friendly reception duties.
  2. Organizes patient flow; keeping providers, nurse, techs, and patients on schedule.
  3. Maintains patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner.
  4. Screens staff calls, handling appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

  • Clerical: typing filing, scheduling, computer, phone and people skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills; strong computer skills

Experience:

  • Two years in a reception or clerical field preferred

SALARY RANGE

  • $19.00- $27.75/hour
  • Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
