Pratt & Whitney continues to invest in new engine technology to power the future of aviation. A critical area of focus is the Digital Engine Services (DES) that delivers the Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Management (DPHM) of the current and future propulsion technologies to continue to advance the economics, reliability, and customer experience of Pratt & Whitney Canada propulsion systems.

In the DES team, we are designing, developing, producing, marketing, and supporting total DPHM solutions for the P&WC in service fleet and future engines. This includes airborne hardware and imbedded software, ground system internet of things (IOT) connectivity, data management and cloud data science and engineering, advanced engineering, numerical methods and machine learning analytics, and pro-active service delivery to drive the right action at the right time for results.

Digital Engine Services India center is looking for a dynamic manager to provide leadership to the group, accountable for business deliverables and strategic objectives.

The candidate needs to be a driven individual that can employ their industry experience and bring the team together to deliver comprehensive solutions. Highly self-motivated and a fast learner with strong communication, cross-functional teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The individual must have strong abilities to interface with others to successfully complete projects and deliver results.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate the overall portfolio planning for local team and report to digital engine service aftermarket management team.
  • Responsible to meet/maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each local teams.
  • Collect and celebrate successes generated by the team and quantify overall business impact on the P&WC organization.
  • Quality: Establish and lead a learning organization and performance.
  • Drive excellence and rigor in execution and root cause and corrective action investigations using and following the quality tools, standards and requirements.
  • Work closely with the aftermarket managers to ensure there is no roadblock for their scope of deliverables whether it’s project or product development and support.
  • Drive team deliverables and provide high level report out including financials to management team in North America.
  • Take initiative, identify and drive opportunities to improve products and services to both internal and external customers as well as collaboration with Digital engineering, support and operations groups in the facility.
  • Champion deep integrated product development team integration and ownership of total deliverables

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor or master’s in mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 years of engineering or relevant experience required in the field of aviation
  • Team leadership experience
  • Understanding of the aerospace industry and aircraft engine data acquisition, processing and analytics and how it is utilized to optimize reliability, availability and operating costs.
  • First in class customer service delivery mindset
  • Excellent project management, executive communication, data analytics, customer service and information technology skills.
  • Experienced leader, Lead by Trust/Respect/Servant philosophy
  • Proven Cross functional collaboration and track record of delivering tangible results.
  • Experience in presenting technical topics to wide range of audiences.
