JOB TITLE: Manufacturing/Assembly Technician

Summary:
- Interpret engineering requirements, work orders, prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and other documentation to manufacture parts and assemblies to quality standards.
- Fabricate assemblies using computerized numerical controlled (CNC) equipment while ensuring product and process quality through monitoring and verification methodologies.
- Determine and adjust machine feeds, speeds, and work alignment using shop mathematics, charts, graphs, and precision measuring instruments.
- Proof new and revised part programs and adjust tooling setups as needed.
- Make minor machine adjustments to ensure safe operation.
- Adapt tooling and holding fixtures to properly orient machine cutters and machining fixtures.
- Check parts for correct dimensions using height gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, calipers, protractors, and other precision tools.
- Utilize tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or finished products.
- Verify work meets work instructions, process specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Identify and document discrepancies per applicable procedures.
- Ensure equipment and tool certifications are up to date per procedure.
- Assist in training other assembly personnel on assembly and installation techniques.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Must successfully pass a skills demonstration.
- Must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (www.workkeys.com) or provide verification of a prior passing score. Delays in completing the WorkKeys Assessment may delay your start date. You may complete the assessment in advance of an interview.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Background in aerospace or aviation.
- Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
