The Position

As Global Business Process Specialist - Capital Investment Finance, you are part of the Business Process Management Finance team at Roche Services & Solutions. This position actively pursues the implementation of the E2E BPM strategy and is responsible for global, cross-divisional, state-of-the-art process design related to financial processes in the domains of asset accounting, CAPEX & Lease accounting. The person in this role is the empowered decision-maker for their area across divisions and in line with the E2E Business Process Management guardrails from the Global Business Process Managers. This position works closely with various stakeholders in the Business Process Management organization & beyond, with the goal to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions and contributes as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in an ongoing large scale global SAP S4 deployment across our Pharmaceutical and Diagnostics Division.

The Opportunity

  • Project Management and Contribution: Drive deployment of large scale SAP S4 project, responsible for areas in and around Asset Accounting, CAPEX & Lease Accounting
  • Business Process Strategy: Actively pursues the implementation of the E2E BPM strategy, delivers solutions including processes, technology, and analytics, and supports global business acceptance for their dedicated area.
  • Business Process Design: Responsible for global, cross-divisional, state-of-the-art process design and redesign, ensuring processes are fit for purpose, lean, and standardized.
  • Business Process Governance: Manages the prioritization and implementation of change requests, ensures robust process execution, documents process requirements, and drives automation and improvements.
  • Strong Business and IT Knowledge: Requires strong knowledge in both business and IT to effectively discuss and justify business requirements and assess the feasibility of technical solutions.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management Skills: Needs strong skills in communication, change management, and negotiation to discuss complex topics with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Overarching Impact: Has a significant global impact on both business and IT through the design, governance, and implementation of standardized processes.
  • Agile Leadership and Coaching: Has a good understanding of SAFe principles, contributes to advancing agile ways of working, assumes agile roles (e.g., product owner, scrum master), and provides guidance and coaching to other specialists and colleagues.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who is self motivated, really passionate about his or her job and understands that providing a high-quality service is crucial for the organization. As an ideal team member you are open-minded, dedicated to make a difference and open to constant development. Furthermore, you have:

  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable field is required, along with 5-7 years of professional experience in business process management, finance, accounting, or an equivalent function.
  • Technical and Process Expertise: The role demands a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, deep process knowledge, and technical expertise in areas like IFRS Accounting, SAP FI/CO, ICFR, Procurement, and various laws and regulations. Past experience as functional consultant and/or end user in asset & lease accounting in SAP is considered a must.
  • Methodological and Mindset Skills: Candidates should have proven methodological skills in areas such as BPM, Six Sigma, Scrum, Lean, PDCA, and Kaizen, as well as an agile, customer-centric mindset with a high attention to detail and quality.
  • Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills: Strong collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential. The position requires a high level of comfort in handling ambiguity, making decisions, and working effectively in multicultural teams within complex matrix structures.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven influencing, change management, and conflict management skills are a must. The ability to work in complex global networks with international teams and senior stakeholders is crucial, as is business fluency in English and a willingness to travel internationally occasionally
