The Position
As the Global Business Process Specialist (GBPS) – General Accounting, you are part of the Global Business Process Management Organization in Roche Service & Solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible in the E2E process area Record to Report for the continuous global harmonization, standardization and automation of the General Accounting processes including the global deployments. You will work in close collaboration with stakeholders from Finance, Commercials, Supply Chain and IT, cross divisionally (Pharma and Diagnostics).
Your Opportunity
- Lead the R2R General Accounting Business Process Management (BPM) organization within the ASPIRE project (the SAP S4 HANA implementation).
- Safeguard the global template and harmonized processes while collaborating with different project streams and other BPM networks to develop new processes for future releases.
- Act as a Business Process Specialist for General Accounting, focusing on the definition and governance of global financial reporting dimensions (e.g., Functional areas, Profit centers) to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
- Govern the system rules for the validation and determination of these financial reporting dimensions.
- Document, train, and educate the finance community on these processes and reporting dimensions.
- Support template deployment activities, including data mappings and consolidation-related activities (e.g., system extraction, validations) and gap analysis, to govern changes and design new processes.
- Collaborate closely with RSS Operation Centers to drive and support process improvement wherever possible.
- Monitor and optimize business processes for efficiency and effectiveness, striving for cross-functional alignment to achieve End-To-End Process Harmonization.
Who you are
- A business or finance degree with 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven track record of participating in international or global projects, particularly transformational initiatives, and working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong financial background with experience in financial accounting and related systems, especially SAP ERP.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in complex global networks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with an agile mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
