Why does the job exist?
Senior Office Support Clerk/Advanced Licensing Clerk will:
- License and certify health care facilities in the State of New Mexico;
- Maintain the health care facilities licensures files;
- Process initial and renewal applications, complaints and surveys;
- Process and track survey documents to ensure that survey uploads are completed in a timely manner;
- File for licensure and survey documents to ensure facility licenses/certifications are kept current and up to date.
How does it get done?
Senior Office Support Clerk/Advanced Licensing Clerk is responsible for:
- Managing statewide certification documentation;
- Tracking licensure application packets for completeness and process in a timely manner;
- Providing excellent customer service;
- Uploading documentation;
- Following up with facilities within the State of New Mexico.
Who are the customers?
- Health Care Authority;
- Centers of Medicare Services (CMS);
- Health facilities of all types;
- General Public.

Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in office administration, customer service, records management technique and procedures, basic accounting, and/or business administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one year (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting, attending meetings, visiting provider agencies, extensive computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
