Why does the job exist?
Senior Financial Coordinator will:
- Process in-state/out-state travel reimbursements for the division;
 - Issue a P-Card for making hotel reservations for DHI staff and is responsible for reconciling P-Card statement monthly;
 - Track travel reimbursements on an excel spreadsheet to report performance measures monthly.
 
How does it get done?
The Senior Financial Coordinator is responsible for:
- Providing support to the Division of Health Improvement;
 - Processing payment Vouchers;
 - Preparing requisitions for all training and travel requests;
 - Auditing for discrepancies;
 - Correcting journal entries;
 - Maintaining and tracking fiscal records.

- Division of Health Improvement Staff
 
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience with:
- Processing in-state and out-of-state travel;
 - State issued P-Card;
 - Reconciling monthly P-Card Statements;
 - Advanced level working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
 
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or Equivalency and one (1) year of experience in bill collection, bookkeeping, office administration, auditing, accounting, and/or finance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting, attending meetings, visiting provider agencies, extensive computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
