$23.00 - $27.00 PER HOUR ENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to assist the Quality and Control Manager with ensuring the Central Food Production facility maintains quality and safety of all food production processes. Overseeing the quality assurance processes on the production floor, enforces compliance with food safety regulations, and implements quality control programs. The supervisor will work closely with production staff and quality assurance teams to maintain high standards and continuously improve food safety and product quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows established Central Production Facility policies and procedures Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the Central Food Production facility provides Supervise and coordinate daily quality control activities across all stages of food production Monitor adherence to food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and internal quality standards Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials Conduct inspections and audits of product in- process, sample finished products to ensure compliance and consistency Verify food safety logs and coordinate investigations if needed as part of our FSMA standards Identify quality issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions Work collaboratively with production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse teams to address and resolve quality concerns Assist in preparing for and supporting regulatory inspections and third-party audits PCQI certified Train new associates of Harmons food safety program Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc. Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Sets a professional and positive example to others Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Central Production Facility as a whole MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities: A high school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's or master’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or related field highly preferred; 3 years of food production, quality assurance, or other retail experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Basic math skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in quality control tools and software Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards Experience with HACCP, GMP, ISO, SQF, or other food safety certification systems Ability to interpret policies and procedures Excellent organization and planning skills Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused, and consistent Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
