In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring that our facilities worldwide operate in an environmentally responsible manner. You will work across our global enterprise to develop and implement environmental policies and procedures, ensure compliance with international regulations, and drive our sustainability initiatives forward.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Environmental Management: Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) across our global manufacturing sites.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Carry out environmental audits to validate conformity with local, national, and international regulations. Manage and prepare necessary documentation for permits and reporting (e.g. Tier II, TRI, Storm Water etc).
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Lead and support global sustainability projects, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and water conservation efforts. Help develop and supervise key environmental performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Training & Support: Offer technical knowledge and training to site personnel on environmental guidelines, new regulations, and waste management procedures.
  • Lead all aspects of collaboration with EH&S, Operations, and Legal teams to coordinate environmental risks and opportunities on a global scale.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience as an environmental engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of international environmental regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 14001, REACH, RoHS) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting environmental audits and managing compliance programs (e.g. ISO 14001, Enhesa)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across different cultures and time zones.
  • Required travel up to 20% domestically, with a potential for some international travel as needed.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
