Purdue Applied Research Institute (PARI) and Purdue University have invested heavily into the development of modeling, simulation, advanced manufacturing and testing capabilities to support the delivery of hypersonic systems to the nation. PARI has formed close partnerships with government and industrial partners to position itself as a key contributor to delivering next generation hypersonic systems.
The successful candidate will be capable of performing research and development efforts in areas related to development of next generation materials, manufacturing techniques, and integration of systems within hypersonic vehicles. As a research engineer at PARI, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, solve complex problems, and develop novel technologies. PARI is seeking research engineers that can lead or support research in multiple areas related to advancing the state-of-the-art of hypersonic vehicles. These topic areas include: integrated computational materials engineering, systems engineering and system of systems modelling and simulation, digital engineering, additive and advanced manufacturing of high temperature materials, mechanical testing, component quality assurance, and validation and verification. Candidates with recent and relevant experience in one or more of these areas will be most successful. Exceptional candidates with cross-cutting experience across multiple areas may be considered for program leadership roles.
