  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative has a unique role in healthcare. The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative will build working relationships, solve problems and support patients while they learn to self-navigate the health care system. The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative will help to improve coordination of patient care and reduce barriers. The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative will work with different groups of people: healthcare providers, clinical and non-clinical staff, and patients. As a Financial Representative, the Patient Navigator & Financial Representative enhance communication; improve quality and patient satisfaction in a collaborative effort with providers, and financial services staff on both the outpatient and inpatient side. The Patient Navigator and Financial Representative will assist with insurance optimization which includes Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance programs. The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative will promote a better understanding of patient-centered care among patients and the community. The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative will be available to represent the organization as an ambassador and to answer questions about what might be important to the patient, their family, friends and the community. The Patient Navigator & Financial Representative will greet all patients, families, visitors with a positive, cheerful attitude.
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education:
      • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Job Knowledge and Skills:
      • Medical terminology knowledge preferred. Must have basic computer knowledge, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Six months previous hospital registration, billing and collections, financial counseling, and/or customer service experience preferred.
